FOUNDER | EVENT PLANNER & DESIGNER
Sarah De Jesus has had a passion for all things beautiful and creative from a very young age. She credits her talented maternal grandmother (who sews, bakes and crochets) for passing on the “artistic” genes to her mother and hence to herself. Sarah excelled in her high school home economic and art classes and it was there that she realized her natural talents which sparked her interest in arts and design. Sarah’s enthusiasm for designing and entertaining led her to host many of her family’s and friends’ gatherings and holidays. She was inspired by the joy she felt in seeing others having a wonderful time and in sharing happy moments with others. This passion has led her to pursue a business doing what she truly loves.
Prior to launching DJED, Sarah completed her Wedding/Events Certification and attended event planning courses at the Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as various event workshops and seminars, and attended classes by industry experts such as Preston Bailey and Jennifer Gilbert. She has also freelanced for several successful event planners | designers in the wedding industry. Moreover, her educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Felician College and an Associate’s degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Berkeley College in New Jersey.
Her design style has been described as “Detail Oriented, Modern, Neat and Clever”.
Sarah’s work has been recognized and admired by many.
