Happy Monday! Today I am thrilled to share a super cute and modern graduation party we worked on back in June. This party was designed for a pretty girl named Alexandra who is off to high school in September. Our client Cynthia was referred to us by my fellow party girl, Dawn (Thank you Dawn!) and came to us with the idea of designing a sweets table for her daughter’s special celebration. The color scheme of Red and White was a no-brainer as it was inspired by her daughter’s school colors. In order to make it fun, fresh and young, we decided to pair it with black and white polka-dots and stripes patterns. This lovely BBQ-styled party was held at the client’s home in Long Island City, NY to which she and her husband invited 30 of their closest family members and friends to celebrate Alexandra.
Cynthia also asked us to design florals for this event. For which we created two all-white floral arrangements consisting of white hydrangeas, white garden roses and white football mums beautifully displayed in red round glass vases and adorned with a wooden topper that read “High School here I come!”. The wooden topper was designed by the amazing Lauren Atwaters of Ten 23 Designs and was certainly the perfect little detail that everyone loved. The arrangements were placed in the middle of the tables on top of a custom polka-dots runner and white linen. Each table setting had a white/black polka dots or stripes placemat, white square dinner plates, red linen napkins in a pinwheel fold. The favor for each guest, which sat on top of the napkin, was a clear candy tube filled with red and white Bubble gum embellished with a black “Graduation Cap” which represented the graduate’s diploma.
The fun printables used in the dessert table and photo props were all designed by the super talented Tamecka S. of Honeyprint. We also had the opportunity to work with Mel of The Sweets Shoppe by Sweet Inspirations who designed all of the custom sweet treats found on the table. Now go on and enjoy all the party photos and thank you again for stopping by!
We absolutely loved working on this party and wish Alexandra a very successful 4 years of high school! Thank you again Cynthia for allowing us to be a part of your daughter’s special day!
I hope you all enjoyed looking at these photos as much as we loved working on this party!
