{Real Parties}:: Pirates Inspired 3rd Birthday Party

“Is Everybody Ready?” That’s the line that sticks out on my mind when I think about this birthday party! It is always our pleasure to do something fun and unique for this little boy for whom we’ve been doing parties for, ever since he was in his mommy’s belly. This dessert table was designed for Adrian’s third birthday back in November and I am thrilled to finally be sharing it with you. The great thing about 3 year olds is that they are at an age where they clearly voice their opinions especially about what cartoon characters they love. So when Iris was brainstorming about ideas for his birthday and asked me to help her plan it, she knew right away it had to be Jake and The Neverland Pirates inspired. She invited 40 of her closest family and friends along with their kids to celebrate Adrian’s special day.

Sweets Table Design:
The color scheme of teal, red, black, yellow and brown was inspired by elements found in the actual cartoons. We placed our focused around Jake’s red bandana and created Ship Inspired centerpieces in White and Black and detailed it with a red ribbon. The table was dressed in a teal table cloth and we added a brown fishnet as an overlay and instead of the usual birthday banner we decided to make a “rustic” looking wooden sign to implement the line “Yo ho! Let’s Go” which is repeated by the characters in the cartoons.

Thank you again Iris for allowing us to be part of your son’s special day! I am still melting as I remember Adrian walking into the room, seeing his table and saying “Wow this is nice!” Best part of my day! :)
