{Real Parties}:: Pink & Navy Tea Party Inspired Baby Shower

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing a Pink + Navy Tea Party Inspired Baby Shower I recently worked on. The inspiration for this Baby Shower came about after seeing the straw hats on a trip to Target. You just never know where inspiration will come from.

This Shabby Chic  and Modern baby shower organized for Christina, a beautiful family friend and one of my sisters’ best friend.  She is expecting her first baby; a girl due in July. My sister decided she wanted to throw her a surprise shower and so of course I was right there on board to make it all happen. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed working on it! :0)

This girly baby shower was an intimate luncheon for 25 of Christina’s closest friends and family for which having a Tea Party Inspired theme worked perfectly. The guests had been asked to wear floral attire to match the straw hats (which all embellished with a pink or blue tulle and ribbon flower by J Blue Creations), we had for them. I worked closely with Wendy of Green Beansie Ink who designed the invitations, banner, welcome sign, dessert labels, favor tags and straw labels in the chosen color palette of Soft Pink, Navy, and White with the Key Pattern background. The style was Clean, Shabby Chic, Feminine and Modern.
Tablescape: We dressed the tables in white/navy linens tablecloth underneath. Each place-setting had a soft pink napkins and glasses with a pink straw tags that read “Drink Me”. I designed and arranged the beautiful floral centerpieces which consisted of Pink Carnations, Pink Roses and Dusty Miller, as well as Misty fillers all placed in a white planter vase that sat on top of white doilies on the middle of the table.

Dessert Table: We dressed the table in a white linen and adorned with a banner that read “baby” in the front. The backdrop was kept fun and simple with pink balloons. We decided to have a display of cupcakes, mini blueberry muffins, banana muffins instead of a cake since this was actually Christina’s second shower and there was a cake at the first one. We also had some adorable custom-made mini cookies and Oreo Truffles by Arlene of Sprinkle Parade, assorted pastries from Dulce de Leche Bakery and assorted candies displayed in pretty tea cups.

This is probably one of my favorite themes thus far. Everyone loved the baby shower including the guest of honor, Christina. I think this theme is also perfect for a first birthday party or bridal shower.
