{Networking} Dreamers Into Doers Event :: Day 2

I woke up very early and eager to begin Day 2 of the Dreamers into Doers Event. This time my day began with the taping of the Martha Stewart Show. Having been the my 2nd time attending the Martha Stewart Show, I can tell you it is quiet a fun experience “being” on tv. The show aired live and I heard someone saw us on TV a few times. I can just imagine me flashing away my big smile on camera. (haha) At the end of the show, Martha did a few promos, then we got to take some pictures of her when she stopped to answer questions from some of the Dreamers in the audience.

Following the show, we took a bus to the Martha Stewart Headquarters, where we joined group 1 for a nice lunch-buffet, networking and the last half of workshops. During lunch we learned about Score.org, free resources for our business from Diane Winston, founder of Winston Strategic Partners, LLC.

I was very happy I was able to see some of the talented women who had attended last year’s DID Event as well as meet some who I had collaborated in the past year. From upper left to bottom right: Here I am with Abigail of Paper & Cake, Nikki of  Nikki, In Stitches, Lyndsay of Easy Made Invitations, Janet of Sweet Temptations, Gemma of Brainfry Concepts, Lynlee of Lynlee’s Petite Cakes, Wendy of Green Beansie Ink, Shana of Pinwhirls Pinwheels Shop, Lyndsay of Easy Made Invitations and Nicolle of Libby Lane Press.

Above is Sarah Carey, Editor in Chief of Martha Stewart Living Everyday Food Magazine, who came out to share with us what’s new with Everyday Food and how they are working on new improvements for even easier access to her recipies through YouTube. I also had the chance to chat with Ebony of Sparkling Events & Designs, Valerie of Greyson Design and Dorangela of Two Prince Bakery Theater.

Jodi Levine, who is the Crafts Editor at Large at Martha Stewart Living, presented us with some easy and fun craft demonstrations.  She also spoke to us about the new line of Martha Stewart products sold at Staples.

The day ended right after the crafts presentation with a nice group picture. And although, we were a little bummed that we didn’t get to have Martha at the event like we did last year, we were still very grateful for this experience. I left the event with a big smile and feeling extra motivated to carry out all that I had learned to improve my business. Here I am carrying my big swag bag which as you can see was packed with goodies!

I hope you enjoyed this! Stay tuned for our next blog! :)

Joyfully yours,

Sarah
